John frieda foam hair color question...?

i just tried out the new john frieda foam hair color...it was definitely easy to use and i loved the color but its only been about 2 and a half weeks and the color has faded considerably. has anyone else used this product? if so, did yours fade quickly? any idea if maybe its something i'm doing wrong or if theres something i can do to keep the color longer?
