Is 3 colours too much to put on your hair in a week?

I originally had dark blonde hair, however in previous months i had dyed it a dark brown using John Frieda mousse dye. I then had my hair hilighted on tuesday but they made a complete mess of it and I still had dark brown hair with white streaks it looked awful. So I went to another hairdressers on Thursday to fix it, however they too messed it up and just put more blonde in it which now means i have bright bright blonde with more streaks. I want to use the john Frieda dye in 'light golden brown' to fix the horrific mess on my head, as I really dont feel comfortable going outside like this. Could anyone tell me if my hair will fall out if i do this? I know it will be very dry, so i have bought an intense repair kit well recommended but im pettified i wont have any hair left. Ideally I want to dye it on Saturday. Thanks!
