Is at home hair color safe when you are pregnant?

As long as you are in a well ventilated room so you aren't breathing the fumes it should be fine, also wait until you are out of your first trimester if you can. The reason I would be cautious with home coloring is with all the hormones your hair could turn out differently (a friends hair turned pink, it was the same color she always used pre pregnancy) also my hair had a greenish tinge to it when I got mine done (professionally too) but they were able to fix it. I would also suggest highlights as the color wouldn't be touching the scalp, but if you are going to be using bleach, again, may want to go professionally to avoid an odd color. Good luck
